Help Save 500 Kittens!
Every spring and summer, thousands of vulnerable kittens flood shelters and rescues. At Pets In Need, we're stepping up with a bold goal: to save 500 kittens this season — but we can't do it without you.
Whether you're able to donate to our Kitten Season fund, send supplies from our Amazon Wish List, or join our upcoming foster webinar to learn how you can care for kittens at home, your support makes a lifesaving difference.
Pet of the week: Joy
Hi there! I’m Joy—and my name says it all! I’m a 7-month-old pup with big brown eyes, a wiggly tail, and a heart full of love to give. At just 26 pounds, I’m the perfect size for couch cuddles, trail walks, and everything in between. I’m still learning about the world, but I approach each new day with curiosity and excitement (and maybe a little bounce in my step).
Bonus: thanks to the amazing Goldfield Good Dog Club, I come with two free training sessions to help us start our journey off on the right paw. I can’t wait to meet you!
New! After-Hours Emergency Help
Pets In Need now offers after-hours emergency support through VetTriage, a trusted telehealth service staffed by licensed veterinarians. You can connect via live video to assess your pet’s condition, receive home care guidance, or be directed to the nearest emergency hospital if needed.

What we do
As a 501(c) 3 non-profit animal shelter, we transfer in dogs and cats from public shelters where they are in danger of being euthanized due to space or financial limitations. We then provide them with the best possible care and enrichment until we can help them find their forever homes.
Get Involved
As a non-profit organization, everything we do is made possible through donations of funds, supplies, and time from members of the community. There are many ways to support Pets In Need, including fostering, volunteering and donating cash or in-kind gifts that help us carry out our life-saving mission.
Volunteer your time
We are constantly in search of animal lovers to join our volunteer team and help socialize, exercise, and train our dogs and cats.
Make a Donation
Gifts from the general public are our lifeblood. They allow us to provide our animals with essential care. We are totally supported by private gifts, adoption, and program fees.
